Search Sevier County Recent Arrests

Tracking arrests in Sevier County starts with the jail's live custody search. That roster shows who is in custody right now. But Sevier County recent arrests can mean more. A person booked yesterday may already be free. So start with the sheriff's portal, then check VINE for alerts, and let the court record fill the gaps. Older bookings take a written request. Anyone asking who was arrested in Sevier County can match the right tool to the question at hand.

Following Sevier County Recent Arrests

The Sevier County Sheriff's Office inmate search is the place to start. It covers current custody at the Sevier County Jail. Some references call the lockup the Sevier County Detention Center. Same facility. What it is not is a historical arrest archive. The portal runs as a JavaScript application, so a text-only view may just tell you to enable JavaScript. Open it in a normal browser with scripts on. And do not expect the search fields another county site uses; this one has its own layout.

The sheriff publishes no 24-hour, 72-hour, or weekly feed. No refresh schedule or roster roll-off rule is posted either. A blank result does not mean no arrest happened. Intake may still be underway, the person may have been released or transferred, or the record may simply not be public.

Sevier County Sheriff inmate search interface for current jail custody

The Sevier County arrest roster is a live view. Field names on it can change. So can the photo lineup. Update timing shifts without notice.

Checking Who Was Arrested Last Night

Start with the current inmate search. Try spelling variants of the name. Compare identifiers and booking dates. Never rely on a similar name alone. When a recent booking is missing, turn to Arkansas VINE or call the office directory at 870-642-2125 for the current public procedure. The county government page lists a second number, 870-642-6100. Treat the two as published contacts, not a dedicated records line.

The sheriff's Mobile 10-8 app offers recent arrests and an inmate roster, and on a phone it may beat the web portal. Check store availability, publisher identity, and permissions before relying on it, since photo behavior can change. It is an official access channel, not an archive. Arkansas feeds county-jail data to VINE every 15 minutes, day and night. That cadence aids custody monitoring but promises no booking by a set minute.

Presumption of innocence: A roster result documents listed custody information. It does not establish that an allegation is true or predict the disposition.

The Sevier County Jail Roster

The Sevier County Jail sits at 137 W. Robinson Road in De Queen. The Arkansas Sheriffs' Association puts capacity at 74 beds. That figure describes the building, not a live count. The roster tracks current custody. State jail rules list what a detention record should keep, but not every category appears online.

Field to seekHow to read it
Name or identifierDistinguishes similar names; never identify someone from appearance alone
Booking/arrest timeSeparate events that may have different timestamps
Listed chargeAn intake charge or confinement basis, not guilt
Bond/releaseA snapshot that can change after court action, payment, transfer, or hold
Agency/facilityWho arrested, confined, or received the person when disclosed
Photo/descriptionConditional; no public SCSO photo-display policy was located
  1. Open the official portal in a script-enabled browser.
  2. Search conservatively and confirm names, identifiers, dates, and facility.
  3. Read charge text as “listed at booking,” never as a proven act.
  4. Use VINE for custody alerts and Search ARCourts for later events.
  5. For a released person or older date, make a focused records request.

Booked versus released: booked marks intake. Released marks a later custody change. Release can follow bond, a court order, a finished hold, or a transfer. Leaving the live roster does not erase the underlying jail or court record.

Where Sevier County Bookings Are Published

Go to official custody tools first. Court records come second. News and unofficial copies work only for discovery. Never merge channels into one composite record, because dates, custody states, and photo policies can differ.

News outlets add court context. They pick which arrests to cover, though. Editors cannot report every Sevier County arrest. Gaps are inevitable.

Recent Arrests by City

An arrest inside city limits can still land in the county system. Officers often transport suspects to Sevier County Jail for booking. The city pages follow each local agency's path. No separate city booking feed exists.

  • De Queen Recent Arrests: De Queen Police operates from 220 N. Second Street; county-jail bookings flow to SCSO tools.
  • Horatio Recent Arrests: the police department is listed in the state chiefs’ directory; county roster and VINE remain the practical checks.
  • Lockesburg Recent Arrests: SCSO provides primary service, and no independent arrest log was located.

These three cities rank as the county's largest incorporated places by 2020 Census population. Population drives page coverage here. It is not an arrest count. Nor does it measure an arrest rate.

What a Sevier County Booking Record Shows

Definition: A booking record documents intake based on an allegation, warrant, commitment, or other legal basis. It is different from the later disposition.
CategoryPossible contents
IdentityName, alias if supplied, booking/offender number
Booking eventArrest and confinement times, agency, receiving facility
AccusationListed charge, classification, warrant/commitment basis, case reference
Custody/releaseStatus, bond, release time, transfer or hold when disclosed
Photo/descriptionPhotograph and physical fields if publicly displayed
Court linkageCase number, date, or next event only when supplied

Arkansas 12 CAR § 50-503 sets out jail-log categories. The rule names arrest, confinement, release, classification, officers, warrants, fingerprints, DNA, and photographs where they apply. It is a recordkeeping baseline. Nothing in it promises that every field appears in a public search.

Mugshots and Booking Photos

Start with the official roster or app. It shows whether a current booking entry carries a photo. The Sevier County Sheriff's Office publishes no photo policy, no timeline for how long an image stays online, and no routine takedown process.

The Arkansas Division of Correction search covers state custody only. It displays offender photos and location data. It skips ordinary county detainees, people awaiting transfer, and anyone out on bond. VINE occasionally attaches a photo to a result. Its core job is status alerts, not image browsing. News copies of booking photos can linger long after the roster changes.

The ADC interface is simply that separate state-custody system.

An ADC result is not proof of a recent Sevier County arrest. State custody moves on its own timeline. Meanwhile, a county detainee may never appear there. The two systems answer different questions.

How to Obtain a Sevier County Booking Record

The sheriff's office posts no booking-record form. No fixed photo fee or turnaround promise exists either. Send a narrow written Arkansas FOIA request to Sevier County Sheriff's Office, 137 W. Robinson Road, De Queen, AR 71832. The published email is seviersheriff@windstream.net. Confirm the records contact at 870-642-2125 before sending anything sensitive.

  1. Identify the person carefully, using birth date only when needed to distinguish the record.
  2. Give the approximate arrest date, agency, and expected facility.
  3. Name each item: booking sheet or jail-log entry, charge/bond/release data, and associated public photograph if wanted.
  4. Ask for electronic copies and an advance fee estimate; no Sevier-specific photo fee was located.
  5. Ask the custodian to cite the basis for any withholding or redaction, and keep the response.

Arkansas FOIA gives the public the right to inspect and copy booking records. Some exemptions apply. That right moves at a practical pace. If a record sits in active use or storage, the custodian sets a reasonable time for access, and the cited framework treats three working days as the general standard. Copying and mailing may add a modest cost. Send only the identifiers the request truly needs. For anything old, ask SCSO directly whether the office still retains the material or whether it was archived, transferred, or disposed of under a records schedule. The Circuit Clerk at 870-584-3055 is the right office for public criminal-court files, but the jail's booking sheet is not part of that office's holdings.

Arrest Records, Removal, and Arkansas Law

Public never means complete, permanent, or wide open. Arkansas law lets custodians withhold juvenile material, sealed or expunged records, victim-sensitive details, medical information, security information, and other protected categories. ACIC issues separate forms depending on the situation: adult arrest history, felony and misdemeanor cases, dismissals, acquittals, charges never filed, and juvenile expungement. The right petition and order hinge on the case. A silent roster proves nothing about whether an arrest occurred, and a restricted record should never be stitched back together from third-party copies.

Work each custodian on its own terms. Ask SCSO for an official correction. Get the disposition or sealing order from the court. Follow ACIC's procedures for its files. Then use a copying site's free policy for its pages. When a search result lingers after its source changes, Google's outdated-content refresh may update the stale snippet or image, though it never deletes anything at the source.

Arkansas pay-to-remove law: A.C.A. § 4-75-102, enacted through Act 450 of 2021, provides a free written removal process for qualifying websites publishing booking photographs in connection with payment for removal. A covered site must provide free receipt/verification and remove qualifying material within five business days. This is not expungement and does not order SCSO or a court to erase an official record.

Stick with free publisher correction routes. Never pay a removal broker. Busted Newspaper, Recently Booked, Mugshots.com, and America's Top Mugshots each state policies covering certain inaccuracies, sealing, favorable dispositions, or similar circumstances, though these are site policies rather than guaranteed outcomes. Save the exact URL and attach proper official documentation, and for statewide context the Arkansas Attorney General FOIA page is the reference point.

This guidance frames a focused request but does not replace the local custodian’s response.

Arrest Warrants and the Most-Wanted Question

SCSO publishes no live warrant-search portal and no current most-wanted list. The old wanted.php route now resolves to the current application shell. That is not evidence of any wanted database. So there is no sourced count, cadence, reward, anonymous-tip feature, or "Warrant Wednesday" schedule to publish here.

For a specific warrant question, call SCSO or the jail at 870-642-2125 for the current public procedure. Also check Search ARCourts. Ask the Circuit Clerk about a particular public case. Results can run incomplete for many reasons: timing, identity matching, sealed matters, jurisdiction, or a warrant that was recalled or quashed. Anyone who believes a warrant concerns them should contact an attorney or the court. Never approach, follow, or confront a wanted person. Call 911 for immediate danger. Use only a verified official tip channel. This is safe verification guidance, never advice for dodging law enforcement.

After an Arrest: Court Dates and Dispositions

Booking is only the first page of the story. Through Search ARCourts, you can pull case numbers, dockets, hearings, filings, and other public events from participating courts, within whatever access restrictions apply. Match names and case numbers with care. Filings can lag well behind booking, or land in a different court entirely.

What starts as one charge does not always stay that way. A docket may later show an amended charge, a plea, a dismissal, an acquittal, a sentence, or probation. The later outcome is the one that matters. Current custody, case status, and the original booking are three separate things. SCSO gives the jail snapshot. VINE sends alerts, and the judiciary keeps the case record. The Search ARCourts portal is the official source for that next stage.

Search ARCourts public case lookup interface

Use it for public court events, not as a jail locator or booking-photo source.

State Prison and Federal Custody

Turn to ADC only when someone may have entered Arkansas state custody. Its locator can show facility, custody classification, sentence details, descriptors, and a state-offender photo. County detainees, people awaiting transfer, people out on bond, and similar groups may not appear there. The booking-photo section explains the source distinction.

The federal picture is separate. The Bureau of Prisons locator covers federal inmates from 1982 onward and may list location or release information, but it carries no county arrest feed and no Sevier mugshots. ICE runs its own locator for qualifying current immigration detention, and it takes an A-number plus country of birth or exact biographical details. Neither one replaces SCSO, VINE, or the courts. Sevier County lists no routine ICE contract or U.S. Marshals arrangement. A blank in one system settles nothing about another.

Underlying records can outlive the roster. Court-retention categories, SCSO records, and the Arkansas State Archives each hold different scopes. The state archives hold no current Sevier booking-photo collection. When you ask there, use county, agency, record type, and date range rather than assuming a deleted roster image simply moved over.

How an Arrest Record Changes Over Time

A Sevier County arrest record does not hold still. A live custody entry on the SCSO site, a jail booking sheet kept on file, a court case, and an archived government document all age differently. The online display can vanish fast. The booking record itself lives on under a state retention schedule. Arkansas rules say jail records are kept as state law directs, yet they set no Sevier-specific window for how long an entry or booking photo stays posted. So when an older name drops off the roster, file a date-specific records request. Do not assume the arrest never happened.

Court files often outlast the custody page. Arkansas retention schedules call for permanent safekeeping of some items, like case indices, dockets, active warrants, and sealed records, and set longer minimum periods for certain case files and arrest reports. That says nothing about booking images staying online, though. For disposition and docket history, the Circuit Clerk holds the fuller story. SCSO stays the first custodian for the jail booking sheet or photograph.

Older material moves to other homes. The Arkansas State Archives takes in county and municipal records that reach its custody, and the Arkansas Digital Archives posts selected digitized collections. Neither source carries a current Sevier County roster or a recent booking-photo series. A historical search should name Sevier County, the creating agency, the record type, and the date range. Then ask whether the material still sits with the local office or has already transferred.

Third-party sites follow their own clock. A news outlet or unofficial publisher can keep a copied charge or image alive long after SCSO's current-custody result is gone. Save the page URL. Note the date you saw it. Then check it against the official court disposition and use the publisher's stated free correction route. An old copy never proves present custody, and a missing current result never proves the old copy right.
